What brand O2?

Try disconnecting the 02 sensor, and drive the truck. It WILL set a code..... see if the behavior returns.

I don't have a cat but I do have an O2 sensor there and the upstream O2 is before the cat, there isn't one after the cat on 95's. When it decides to start acting up it will do it in all of the gears and seems to not have enough power to keep the truck in od.

I found the TSB thread earlier and put a shortcut on my desktop, plan on unplugging all dist/plug wires and re-routing them to the diaghrams tomorrow. Wouldn't it be nice if that solves these issues.

I'm not sure what brand the O2 sensor is. What would be the next step if the behavior does return or doesn't? If the behavior doesn't return would I leave the O2 sensor unplugged?

No, because your PCM needs that sensor to control fuel trims.
You figure out what brand it is; the trucks HATE Bosch sensors.
NTK is the only one they use without fits.

When I did the tune-up I put Bosch platinum plugs in but didn't route the wires to the TSB specs. I will though tom.

Right there is probably a large part of your problem. You get zero benefit from high dollar plugs. Replace them with Autolite 3923's, or some other standard copper plug from your favorite manufacturer. Be sure they are gapped correctly as well. Anyone that tells you they are 'pre-gapped' from the factory is blowing sunshine up your skirt.

Yeah but it was having these issues before I did the tune-up and I gapped them all .35 myself.

Our trucks don't particularly care for the high-zoot-expensive plugs.....

How is your coil? Might wanna grab a spare plug, and check spark at each cylinder. See what spark looks like. Might just be coil getting weak, or a failing crank sensor.

When i strarted unscrewing the plastic plugwire clips on the valve cover studs (with my fingers) 3 of the valve cover studs were so loose they came unscrewed with the plastic clips! Then I checked the tightness of all of the bolts holding the valve covers on and all of them were fairly loose, would them being loose cause a vacuum leak?
