Nope. Although, that does seem to be a standard problem on these trucks..... (loose valve cover bolts.)

I rerouted the plug wires to the TSB specs, didn't solve a thing. Also pulled the plugs to check them they were changed 3 weeks ago, and the plug for cylinder 6 was black so i changed it, the rest were still new looking. Another issue when it starts missfiring is when I let off the gas and coast the rpm will go up to 1500 fall to 1100 up to 1500 back to 1100 and repeats that untili get back on the gas. When i try to get the codes the cel will flicker too fast to read for 2 seconds and then nothing. This thing is driving me nuts.

If I get a BWD pcm will it need to be reprogrammed by a DRB scan tool (the factory scan tool) at a dealership as stated in the Haynes repair manual?

Not on a 95.... not flash programmable.

If your CEL comes on, drive it to the nearest parts store that can read the codes.

I've taken it to autozone and advance and they can only read codes for 96 or newer I think with an OBD-II.

If the coil wire routed on the inside of the valve cover near the intake (per TSB) is touching the wire going to the injector on cylinder six will this cause electrical interference? (the coil wire is wrapped in the plastic convolute)

So my problem with the plug fouling for cylinder 6 is still ongoing I figured maybe the injector was stuck open so I swapped the number 4 injector with the number 6 thinking maybe the problem would follow it and carbon foul the number 4 plug but not the case. I put a new plug in the 6 hole and it fouled it after a 30 min drive, what seems more likely a plenum gasket leak near the number 6 injector or a valve issue on cylinder 6? The missfire still exsists but only after it's been driven for 25-30 min.
