Default maybe buying a '98

Hello all, I'm new to the forum as I don't own a dodge(yet). I am going to look at a '98 2500 quad cab 4x4 with 24 valve Cummins and automatic, about 140000 miles, tomorrow. Any particular issues to check out?

The steering usually can use some freshening, if not a completely upgraded system. The dash's crack. The unit bearings are prone to failure. The ABS never works, and sucks when it does. The 47re's that come behind the Cummins are a decent trans, but can still give some fits. The vp44 injection pump needs a strong lift pump (and constant fuel pressure) behind it or it WILL commit suicide. Oh, also you will probably go through rear tires often

There. Ya happy?

Thanks guys. The dash isn't cracked at all. I'm looking into the rest. It is idling around 900 rpm. The present owner says it was flashed up for winter starting/idling. Hmmm...
