Default Red and black wire

I have a dual braided red and black wire that is cut and hanging off underneath the steering column, anybody now what it is for? It was like that when I bought the truck and forgot to ask about it. I can't find it on the wiring diagram that I have and I don't feel like plugging it to find out.

Thanks

Twisted pair? Part of the communications circuit for the central timer module. Anything on your truck NOT work?? (notably: Gauges, steering wheel controls for radio, cruise?)

Not twisted, they are side by side. Nothing that I am aware of is not working. Fog lights don't work and inner bulbs on the headlight to but I doubt that this wire as anything to do with those two problem.

Do they look factory? Or do ya think someone added 'em?

Got an aftermarket stereo?

Got a security system on the truck? (factory or otherwise....)

Does your O/D off button on the end of the shifter work?

Just took the trim off and I found something that look like a alarm system inder there. Spliced wires, a box that look like a little horn\speaker and a little red light.

See if you can get a model number, or some such off the alarm..... I don't see anything at all in the security system wiring diagrams with a red, or white, wire...... I suspect it's aftermarket.
