Default What years did the 1500 have a solid front axle?

I think I've seen 2nd gen Ram 1500's with either IFS or SAS setups. What years were they available?

EVERY fullsize Dodge 4x4 has a solid front axle through 2001. 2002+ 1500 4x4's have IFS. ALL HD's have a solid axle up front.

2nd Gen body styles are all SFA. 3rd Gen 1500s are ALL IFS with the exception of the Megacab 1500, which is SFA and identical in frame and suspension to 3rd Gen 2500s, as a matter of fact, I've never known why they called the lighter of the two Megas a 1500. The Mega 1500 & 2500 share the same AAM 9.25" SFA, the Mega 1500 has an AAM 10.5" while the 2500 has the 11.5" rear end...

The bastard of the 3rd Gens would be the '02 (and a very few early '03) 1500s that still had the 5.9 gas engine, they share the engine and transmission with the 2nd Gens, but the body and suspension is all 3rd Gen...
