Default thin rear frame.....

a few weeks ago my uncle traded me a 94 dodge(this is my first truck) he had sitting for some work around his garage. its a regular cab long bed 4x4 5 speed with a 318. its got 66k miles but needs a little work, anyway i have the bed off to change the fuel pump and i cant halp but see the frame is getting pretty thin on the rear half the front and under the cab is pretty good, just the back. its not to far gone by anymeans but i will be lifting this truck and putting biger tires in it and probably running it pretty hard(local pulls mud trails etc.) so my question is what could i do? or what should i do? beef it up with some angleiron and plate steel or think about finding a rear section frame at a junk yard?

Without seeing the condition, I would consider boxing with plate. Cuttin off and welding another one on would adversely effect the ability of frame to flex as designed.

2 pedals is easier on the knees!

My step father HAD the same "requirement" for a manual transmission, until he had to have knee surgery to fix the cartilage, not so much fun
