what wheels? (From other makes and models)
Will fit our trucks? I know there is probably a thread here about it, but I just spent a hour looking for it! I want to do something different with my truck and figured Id start by changing my wheels!
I do believe the half-tons are 5 on 5.5 bolt circle, so, wheels with the correct bolt pattern will supposedly bolt right on.... If you go with 15 inch wheels, might need to do a bit of grinding on the tie rod? for clearance. Larger wheels won't suffer from that problem.
Also, I believe stock backspacing is 4.5 inches? (on a 7.5 inch wide wheel) You want to try and keep the same relationship of backspacing vs. wheel width, so you don't eat up hub/bearings like hotdogs on the fourth of july. Don't get so much backspacing that you end up with the tires rubbing on the lower control arms on turns though..... best bet is to go to a local tire store that has the wheel/tire combination you are interested in, and see if they will "test fit" one or two, and see how it all works out.

Yea, but what about the center hub size or the hole size matter? I have some 20s and 33s to go on, but Im waiting to fix a few more issues first before I put them on. It is going to give the truck that stance that I like.

But in terms of other makes and models, I believe any wheel from a half-ton dodge 94-on will fit your truck. I think Fords and Chevy's are both 6-lugs...right?? So none of them will.
I had 15's on my 98 and No grinding was required. Everything cleared fine. Also older Ford trucks have the same bolt pattern as out trucks - I think the 80's to early 90's but I'm not sure if the exact years offhand.
the center hole should only matter if you have rear drums. If so the need to have a 3 inch opening to fit over the extruding ring on the drum.

you can kinda see mine but i just used black center caps off a old dodge work van
