Cool Oil Leak???

Well this will float your boat, found a service bullentin on the 98' 1500 5.2L, that the oil filter adapter plate has a gasket. really? the block i got to do a rebuild didnt, but boy did i loose the oil out the adapter plate. so i bought one (gasket)....NO Leak.
But now i get a couple drips at inspection plate at tranny, this is most annoying...will investigate further, any one xperience this? All new gaskets and Red RTV on build. Any ideas?

Either rear main, or oil pan.... both can be troublesome to install correctly, so they don't leak...

Cool Investigate

Yes, i removed inspection tranny plate and brackets and drove for couple days, i see no oil on fly wheel or any on gear, and it didnt leak. but after putting gasket at oil filter plate, putting all hardware back on, i got the drips.....grrrrr. i am thinking the radius on oil pan ????? least i hope that easy. rear main is not, would make for a long day.

Someone is sneaking into your driveway at night, and spraying fresh oil around, just to keep ya guessin'.

Throw some dye in the oil. Check with a UV light. Makes leak finding MUCH easier.

It's not an oil leak -- it's sweat from all of that horsepower!
