Dodge and the heat

 

I just talked to the Dealership here and they said that they can get the parts in but for a price....

Dash carrier $850
Upper dash board $550
Front piece of the dash $450

Total $1850 plus the ride

Thats like crazy money there


They have a Upper dash board made out of fiberglass on ePay 325 and the front piece is like 80 to 130....But still....

 

That's crazy. I wouldn't go that route.

 

You can find ABS plastic dashes (top part) for right around 200 and some change at LMC truck, and other places.

Dodge is awfully proud of them thar parts......

$219.95 for dash top, $169.95 for bezel (front piece of dash)

and unlike the stocker, this replacement dash is made from heat resistant compounds and painted with a UV inhibitor to resist sunlight damage. It is definitely an improvement over the stock dash.

I don't know if they sell dash carriers though...so if your carrier is toast, your SOL on that and stuck with the stealership.

 

They said the dash carrier is a 1 year only for that truck and i was like S***

 

Time to visit the junk yard.

 

I have been ever since I got the truck. The foreigners that get their hands it, take what they need and break the rest....cutting harnesses and cutting out dash parts.....

 

If you want me to check at a JY about 60 miles form me, they have a 2001 that I have gotten parts from. Grey interior. I'll get the price and estimate to ship if you would like. just PM me so I get message while I am ther for meetings tomorrow. Gotta go by PPG distributor anyway, so swinging by there isn't a big deal.
