Never turn rotors. It's a waste of money and reduces braking efficiency.

I never turn rotors as there's no need and it's a waste of money. I also don't ride my brakes.

Have a day.

If you simply replace your rotors when you do your brakes, you can get away with not turning them. Sometimes.....

I got in the habit of taking a couple thousandths off NEW rotors, to avoid having to do the brake job twice, because the new rotors were warped from sitting on the shelf too long.

If you are just changing the pads, turning the rotors will indeed reduce their ability to absorb/shed heat.... but, NOT turning them will make the 'bed in' process for your pads take significantly longer. That reduces braking efficiency even more so that turning the rotors..... Plus, if you have a pedal pulsation, changing, or turning, the rotors is the ONLY way to get rid of it.
