!!!HAMMER TIME!!!

then it's pb blaster, vice grip, and hammer time..

spray it.. let it soak.. spray it.. vice grip it.. hit that sumbiyatch with a hammer..

the shock impact of the hammer often breaks corroded threads..

Alright I did the screw to injector test and I could here popping in all of the injectors on the passenger side ( I didn't check the drivers side because there's no issue there)

since they are all popping what does that mean?

that it's not likely an injector issue.. you're hearing the things open and close, and would have heard one hanging up if it wasn't ticking like the others..

scratch that idea..

So that means most likely the cat being the culprit of the misfire here then?

it just means it's likely not the injector..

if it's just that cylinder, I'd first break out a can of ether- and spray carefully around the intake manifold where #8 lives, and listen for RPM increase- it will lie if you hit the TB, and that will be easy to do.. you can try a compression gauge as said earlier.. you can check the points in the dizzy, and the ignition wire for loss of integrity.. ect..

my point, i guess, is that an 8 misfire wouldn't be the only misfire if it was your o2.. it may be the most common misfire due to it's location, and it will be the one most likely to indicate a plugged cat due to it's location..

all you've done with the screwdriver on the injector is somewhat rule out the injector is the issue..

The deep o2 sockets suck. You need one that has much thicker walls. The walls on the deep ones flex and round the nut. See if you cant borrow one made by snap-on or mac.

i think im gonna pull the cat and put the o2 sensor in a vice grip while i turn the pipe. that should crack it no problem.

Would it be worth driving while i have the cat completely disconnected to see if the code goes away or is it not worth it?

Give it a shot. Keep in mind, it will be rather loud...... Don't get a ticket.

Alright so i did a pressure test on the passenger side so far. these are the numbers i get.

Cylinder 2 was 110 psi
cylinder 4 was 100-105 psi
cylinder 6 was 120 psi
cylinder 8 was like 0 psi.

cylinder 1 was 100 psi
cylinder 3 was 95 psi
cylinder 5 was 110 psi
cylinder 7 was 117 psi

these were all dry test. now i know 0 psi in 8 is my problem with the misfire, but what does it mean?
