Main Bearing Question
Need some info. if anyone knows. This being Saturday, puts me in a bit of a predicament otherwise.
Ordered and received a set of Clevite main bearings for my 360. The box contained two packages, upper, and lower halves. The lower halves are identical to the upper halves in that they have the oil hole and groove. Is this the way they make them now, or is it a packaging mistake?
Was going to install them but thought I'd better check first. I'm thinking the groove is intentional for better oiling, or is this just a screwup? The bearings I removed only had the groove in the upper half, and a solid bearing in the lower half.
Many thanks to anyone that knows for sure.

I am seeing both designs on summit. Both the solid shell lowers, and the ones with full grove, and oil hole. Are the bearings you have P-series by any chance? If so, those are indeed correct. Just make sure the oil hole in the block lines up nice with whichever you put in that upper location.
Yeah, they're P-series, I'm doing this in frame, so the cranks in, no way to tell if the holes line up. They better. I guess if they don't line up, I'll have excellent oil pressure for a few minutes anyway, till it seizes up.
Thanks for the reply, relieves a load off my mind.
