There are two senders on that truck, one with 3 prong and one with 2. Take out the one you need and match it up at the parts store for a different year..

OR....you can go to the FAQ/DIY section here on DF, download the parts manual for your truck, look up the Dodge Part Number for waht you need, and have them cross reference that number in their system.

(Really freaks out the Dodge Parts guys here in town....when they as for last 6 of VIN, I tell them, "Here, let me give you the part number!") FLAPS clerks are used to it by now!

Most counter help in parts stores cannot identify their a** if they are sitting on both hands.

That is why I stated THIS:

okay guys so as i stated i know i have two coolant sensors im not a mechanical idiot here. It is NOT the sender switch which is the one wire sensor, it is the coolant temp sensor which has two. I am well aware of the FAQ/DYI but like i stated previously this is not typical coolant sensor so it will not help any.

i know alot of part store people are idiots but this is not a simple wrong part from the part store problem. they showed me practicably every dodge even chevy and ford coolant sensor they had non of which match.

if any one has ever seen this connector lemme know.

Check the wiring for the sensor, see if it has been spliced in at some point.
