gas tank problem

Not that far Sicamous, BC and I do have a pump here for you. I could put it on the graydog for you or can post.

Edit: It's a slightly used Mopar pump $70 it is my emg spare.

I have a fuel pump gasket/oring that goes on top of the tank and seals the fuel pump if thats your problem. Also check the steel lines and connection to the pump itself.


And far as I know, there are NO rivets or anything going to the tank. The heat shield is held on by the straps.

On mine, toward the back of the tank, there is a plastic "tit", that plugs into a socket molded into the tank, that one of the funky toothed washers (with the teeth pointing in) pushes on to that hold the rear of the shield to the tank. I discovered it was misplace when I loaded the truck down, so it squated good, and the shield was rubbing on the rear yoke. THAT made some interesting noises.
