after i put my new tps in yesterday and I thought I had the problem fixed with my truck backfiring and hesitating to move and the shaking. I drove the truck about 5 miles and the truck backfired and then hesitated to move at about 10 mph for about 30 seconds then it stoped and the truck was ok.its been doing this since october of last year but now its doing it just about everyday a few times a day.whast should I check now?I aksed a machainc and he said it sounds like the fuel filter in the gas tank you really think it sounds like that?i may be wrong but I dont think its that.need some info thanks.I did a full tune up last year in the late fall so the tune up wanst that long ago.

 

Check plug wire routing. (there is a bulletin (TSB) in the faq section for just such an occasion.)

Check fuel pressure. Need a gauge for that exercise.

How old are your O2 sensors? Fixed the plenum yet? Using any oil? Seafoamed the engine lately??

 

the spark plug wires on one side are missing that little plastic clip that keeps the plug wires in place not sure where i get one of those at but i notice its missing.the 02 sensors have been on there since i got the truck a year ago.i didnt do the plenum yer or sea foam the engine but i brought the truck to a shop last year and they did some kind of fuel system cleaning wth some stuff on a machine it really did do any good though since its still doing it.guess i have some things to check.
