I am looking to buy a used Fiberglass Truck cap for my 94 Dodge 1500 long box. Does anyone know if long box dimensions are the same for all truck makes of comparable years. Eventually if I find something the only accurate method is to try the cap on my truck box to ensure exact fit. I am just trying to make the search a little easier, there are a lot of used truck caps out there.Thanks

 

I don't think so. Dimensions differ from make to make, and even year to year within the same make. Finding one specifically for a Dodge Long Bed would be best. If not, set the cap on the bed, and see how things line up.

 

I had one off of a Chevrolet on my 97. It was much wider at the back and I could barely get the clamps on it. Didn't matter much since I only needed it for a cross country move. I wouldn't want to run one like that permenantly. It looked like s#!^.

get a cap that came off another dodge.there not the same.

 

Any long bed Dodge Ram cap from 1994-2001 will fit. Up to 2002 for the 2500/3500 trucks.
