99 ctd 47re acting stupid
That one is 2000 and up. Wiring pinout is different than the 99... Here is the one for 96-99.
Go with the BW units, don't bother spending the extra dough on the GM conversion. The BW parts are just as effective, solve the same problems, and are half the price.

Yep. you're right. I clicked on the wrong one.....Now I gotta check and see which one is in my 99!
update........ ended up ordering the kit i spoke of... aparently electical advantage and cascade trans parts are the same co....shipped from e/a with same address
unfortunatly trans decided to puke about 4 quarts of fluid from the front towing tues night and i have a bit more problems at hand.....like funding this fix....oh well, pulled it out today, goes to builder budy to let me know how bad its gonna hurt....so far not looking too bad..... deffinatly trying to figure out what to do about converter cost/performance wise..... cant afford big money at all... but making plenty of extra power and plan on doing plenty of heavy towing

Then don't skimp on the trans, or the t/c. If you do, you will probably get to do this all again, LONG before you really want to. If you are spending less than 200 on a t/c, you are getting junk. Being as yours is an oil burner, that is probably being conservative......
Do not buy the AutoZone TC, it is junk... I would suggest looking in the direction of TCI: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...TCI142261.html
It's a lot more expensive, but you get what you pay for with the drive train.

Had to go the transtar/recon single disc billit cover.....$400....couple local trans shops have been using them in built diesels without any problems that ive heard of yet....wish me luck i guess.....
Got a link to that TC? And don't worry about being rebuilt. All TCs that I know of that are available are rebuilt. I suppose the only new ones go to auto manifacturers.
