Default 99 ctd 47re acting stupid

Recently, first thing in the morning and after sitting through a 10 hour work day for the first few mins of driving my trans wants to take off in second gear and has even neutrilized on me a couple of times.....will shift to 1st manually and shift fine when put back in d...fluid level is good and fluid is clean.recently serviced by previous owner who stated fluid was clean at the time and no excessive trash was found in the pan.a friend of mine suggests gov pres solinoid and sensor.....looking in to these ive found the gm conv solinoids online that claim to be a better setup with better line pressure,etc......same friend says that wouldnt apply with my quadzilla adreniline as it would override the solinoid pressure wise.....anyone experianced with this scenario and have any suggestions with the best fit both cost wise and durability?my truck is pumped up a bit and i drive it hard...will also be doing some havvy towing with it as soon as it is worthy(and i find the right deal on a 38-40' gooseneck)

GM conversion would help, but, cost is north of 200 bucks.... (not including fluid and such...) Borg Warner makes heavy duty solenoids/sensors that drop right in, and can be had for under 100.00. Go the BW route. Have a look in the pan, and pay special attention to the gov. solenoid, see if it's clogged up.

That's a little much maybe....depends on what they are calling upgrade 3-4 accumulator spring. And they are selling you more than you may need. Lockup hardly goes bad. And sol has O rings and not gasket....

Who is the seller? I use one of them...advanced I think. I'd have to log onto ebay to see.

Seller is cascade trans parts, and i was kind of thinking the same thing.especialy about the l/u solenoid and harness ,but thought again that maybe they were problem prone as well.just thinking there must be a reason they put together a kit with all of this.....other than simply having too much stock.....i think i remember someone local having a problem with the l/u sol.harness recently....just cant quite remember the scenario

Check back for this post to be edited...

EDIT: Seller is Electrical Advantage...I have this in mine, and have resold a numer of these to locals here.

THIS is the BW solenoid....

If you want to go all out, THIS is the GM conversion

That one is 2000 and up. Wiring pinout is different than the 99... Here is the one for 96-99.

Go with the BW units, don't bother spending the extra dough on the GM conversion. The BW parts are just as effective, solve the same problems, and are half the price.
