Default leaking Freon

On my way to the beach but needed freeon , added a can with stop leak. It wasn't enough, so my budd had a can in his tool box and hooked it up. Two cans and it was blowin ice cold . 15 minutes later it had leaked out all the freeon and was blowing like someones hot breath. The freeon looked to be leaking out of the a/c vents(like smoke). What do you guys think?

Possibly the evaporator.

Just my opinion here, but stay away from the "stop leak" in a can. It does more harm than good.

Get a can of R-134a w/UV leak detector. Use either a blacklight or UV light to find the leak.

If it's coming out the vents in the truck, the evap core is toast. Replace the heater core while you are in there.
