How many miles on your truck? have you fixed the plenum?

I have done the plenum on my truck, dealer PCV valve, yet, I am still going thru a quart of oil about every 200 miles..... I consider that "excessive"...... Now, bear in mind, I have 178K miles on my truck..... and I am pretty sure the valve seals are shot. (nice blue cloud when I drive away in the mornings.) I am unsure if valve seals could account for that kind of consumption though. (would be nice if it were that easy...) Truck doesn't smoke at all after the initial first drive of the day.
ive got 300,000km on the beast.replaced the plenum gasket 4 or 5 years ago but did not use the hughes kit.my truck does not burn oil at start up which is weird i thought.guess i will pull the throttle body like you suggest heyyou and see what going on in there.i know im not leaking oil, changed the front and rear engine seals last winter.sure is a weird one for sure bud.hopefully i will find it by saturday then the beers on me.

cheers

Don't forget to disconnect the battery while you are working on the TB. (need to reset PCM, so it will relearn zero values for the TPS, and IAC.)

heyYou,you are the f-in man!i took the throttle body off and cleaned the hell out of it.replaced the IAC and the TBS,truck ran great in the test drive.i suspect it was the IAC since the truck ran the same if it was connected or disconnected.changed the TBS because it fell apart when i removed it.gonna get it on the highway tomorrow and see where the bear **** in the woods.

cheers.
