Default True Duel Exhaust

Has anyone installed a true duel exhaust (headers ect) and eliminated the Y pipe and single cat combo?

If so, how did you adapt the O2 sensors to work correctly?

Couple I have seen ran both pipes down the passenger side of the truck, and used a VERY short H pipe, with the sensor in the center of it. (less than three inches long.) Neither had issues with CEL.

Could also try just putting the sensors in one pipe, and see how it goes. (non fouler on the rear O2 so you don't get cat codes, if you don't install cats.)

I just put both of the O2 sensors in 1 pipe. No cel or decrease in mpg or anything. Runs fine.

kinda funny seeing this.. i JUST dealt with the same issue. ran true duals and i just had the exhaust shop weld a bung on the passanger side pipe and install the upflow o2 sensor.. went from 3mpg to 10mpg. i left the rear o2 out and so far so good no more code.

I just did it on my last pickup and DEFINANTLY do not just put the sensors in one pipe it messes with you're fuel mileage extremely. I went from 12 mpg down to 6. I had it true dualed with two 14in glasspacks and no cats. It sounds really ****ty and you're mileage goes out the door. Use an H pipe.
