Default Tired of no power!!!

Gah I'm so tired of not having any power in my truck and am looking for the best way to solve this...It is a new long block motor with ~4000 miles on it and it is severely lacking power. I tried to power brake it the other day and it wouldn't even do that.. Here is what I know about my truck..
1. New 5.2 longblock
2. ebay plenum plate
3. cat is newish
4. it has the death tune
5. 3.55
6. 265/16's

I think that the death tune is whats hurting my truck so much but this is my first dodge so I don't know if I should do something else first before I go to HemiFever.. I'm saving up for a wedding so the soon to be wife is holding onto the wallet so I can't just throw money at it...

I will be putting 33's on before october so that might change a few things order of upgrades..
What models can I swap axles from to get different gears? Straight swap if possible (no fabbing req)

I think the only "direct" swap would be from 2000, or 01 trucks... Don't expect to find anything with better than 4.10 gears.... (off road edition trucks have them stock.) 4.10s would go good with 33's. Keep in mind, you are looking at somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500 bucks, parts and labor JUST to do gears.... (good luck finding ORE axles in the yard......)

SCT tuner, even with the canned tunes will pick you up a couple horsepower, and about 20 ft/lbs of torque. Not a bad deal.

Harland Sharp Roller Rockers (non-adjustable) will give ya right around 10 horsepower/torque. Run around 300 bucks. Look around for good deals.

Did you get a high flow cat?

When you swapped the motor, did you get fuel sync reset? (important.)

How's fuel pressure?

How old are your O2 sensors? If new, what brand??

Thanks HeyYou I did not get the fuel sync done when i did the motor swap (that I know of). I was under the impression that you didnt need to do that when only replacing the lower half of the motor but now that i have done some more research it seems as if I need to get that done...
Not sure about the cat the previous owner changed it right before he traded it in.
Same thing with the o2's

lol its more like good luck finding any Rams in the yard here!

I hear ya on that one Shaggy..... We have two yards left in my area.... one of which had only ONE 2nd gen Ram, and all that was left was the body shell, bed, and frame. EVERYTHING else was gone.....

The other yard had several when I went last summer.... but, they all seem to have disappeared since then. They had two.... one that looked like it had had a bad experience with a Semi.... (no usable parts to speak of) and the other had some stuff, but, most of the usual suspects were already gone. (It DID still have the 3/4 ton axles though... no clue what gears were in 'em.)

Yes, you need to get fuel sync reset. Any shop with a good scanner should be able to do it up. If you can get your hands on a good scanner, that will tell you what it thinks fuel sync is, you can do it yourself. Really easy.

Think I might be having a look at the O2 sensors, and pressure testing the exhaust..... I rarely trust a PO's work......

I just ordered SCT $265 "can" tune, hopefully that will liven my 5.9 up. One more thing you can do is get a CAI or 14x3. I got a Spectre CAI on mine and i felt a little (and i mean little) gain with that, definitely worth the price though IMO.

For uneducated gentlemen like myself, what is the fuel sync deal? And would i need to do this after replacing my plenum plate?

/sorry for thread jack

SCT sells "can tunes" by themselves and with the tuner! I hope you bought the one that comes with the tuner
