According to the wiring diagrams, you have the same connector for the clutch switch... break the starting circuit there with your switch. Unfortunately, the horn button grounds the control circuit, rather than applying power to it, so, you would need to have the ignition switch (with your anti-theft switch in starter disabled position) control a relay (apply power to the control side) that would, when closed, complete the ground circuit for the horn. (black wire, with red trace. Should be able to find the wire at connector 133. (by the steering column.)

I found the clutch saftey loop and the black with the red trace. So from what I understand i have to have one side of the dpst switch control the clutch wire and the other side ground the horn or am i going in the wrong direction,
thanks in advance

Yeah, but, you don't want your toggle switch to ground the horn, else it will ALWAYS be honking when the starter is disabled. You can't ground the horn thru the ignition switch either, as it supplies POWER to the starter relay, which is always grounded.

So is it possible to make the horn blow when you turn the ignition or not. I am not big on eletrical so bare with me. If any thing I will just break the starter circuit with a switch.

Once this is all sorted out do you think we could get it all layed out and in the DIY section for everyone to benefit from the information?

Instead of splicing into the ground side of the horn, use the power side. The horn switch just completes the path to ground.

This reminds me of a prank we used to pull in high school. We would put a jumper wire between the brake light fuse and the horn fuse so everytime the hit the brake the horn would sound. Was funny as hell watching them pull up to a red light or stop sign.

I remember my Dad had a door switch hooked up to the ashtray, you had to open the tray to start the car. But he used to smoke back then.

Well I just yanked out the connector for the clutch posititon for now on my truck it is to the right of the park brake yellow with red chase and green connectors.
dhvaughan if you really are woried about someone takin your truck i suggest just pullin the connector and it lights the dash up but wont turn over like a nice dead truck . this may be a solution till you can wire up somthing else.
