Question Rewire truck or go threw the dealership?

I got so sick of not having a radio that I set a time at best buy to have them figure out my probably. The one "mechanic" said he didn't have a clue and would take at least a hour to figure out and the other "mechanic" knew the probably without see my truck the infinity amplifier that comes with these truck is shot and that is causing my radio problems, I have 2 choices have have best buy rewire the truck <- cost 300 to 400 or go to the dealership and get a new amplifier <- cost not a clue. Anyone know how much that would cost or if rewiring the truck would just be the best way to go. I can't seem to find anything on amazon or anywhere else.

ive been doing the ipod thing for 3 months its starting to get old. My exhaust sounds nice but i still like the radio. I thought about the JY but like the guy said you might run into the same problem in 2 hrs 2 months or 2 years, not saying it can't happen with a new one but slims the chances. I like the input guys but the other thing i thought about was just snipping the wires and running my own to a aftermarket amp.

Amp and crossover I should think. Probably be cheaper than buying the amp from the dealer, which I am sure is platinum plated, blessed by 72 virgins, and priced accordingly......

Just run new wires from your head unit. Don't even worry about the stock stuff. Are your tweeter in the door, or the a-pillar?
