Default 95 Ram 5.2L dual exhaust conversion, looking for 360 headers

Hey, I'm about to have a dual exhaust system put on my 318, I'm going with two borla 2.5" inlet/outlet mufflers. I've heard it's beneficial to put stock headers from a 360 on my 318.

I'm looking for somebody to point me in the right direction as far as where to look, how much to expect to pay for some functional used headers (doesn't have to be pretty, daily driver here) and where I can find a modified Kegger intake as well. I was poking around a few years ago and was about to do it but unexpected expenses arose, now I'm really ready. Any advice?

318 and 360's use the same exhaust manifolds. They are pretty much interchangeable. To find them used, look on EBay, or Craigslist. Same for the modded kegger. Hughes sells them as well, but, they demand a premium price for them as well.... Better off finding the right year for your truck in the junkyard, and modifying it yourself. MUCH cheaper.

Default Interesting

So, I just called a local junkyard and explained what I was looking for and why I was looking for it and he said "I'll tell ya somethin on them dodges, the 360 and the 318 exhaust manifolds have the same exact casting number so if somebody told ya that they're different they're barkin up the wrong tree there"

So... am I missing something here?

Not really. There is no difference between manifolds/headers for a 318, and 360. They are exactly the same. That applies to intakes as well.

Interesting, not sure where I got the crazy notion they were different. One guy told me it would breathe better and you, and the junkyard guy have told me they are the same.

Ok then, to address the rest of your response to my original post... I would love to modify my current intake, except I have absolutely no tools for cutting or grinding metal. So far I have tried searching Ebay as I'm a frequent ebayer for "kegger mod" and "mod intake dodge" without much luck. I'm pretty sure I have to do my plenum gasket, no worries, I've already used the search function on that whole ordeal, but I really don't think Hughes' asking price on the kegger mod is very reasonable so I think I'll just get their gasket.

Anyway, I will keep trying to locate a kegger or find someone local who can modify mine and forget the 360 headers idea, thanks a bunch!

I have located a few 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.2L W/EGR valve intake manifolds for $15.99 locally, will those work on my Ram?

also, dont get the hughes plenum fix. there is a member on here that makes/sells them on ebay for a resonable price.

here is his ebay page

Does anybody browsing this have experience with the shortys? Is it even worth the $200? what kind of gains can I expect, if any in hp, torque or mpg? Keep in mind this is an auto... however, if anyone wants to donate their 5 spd tranny to me...

Sadly, I do not have a sawzall either. I spose I could buy one, but I bet a machine shop would get the job done if I locate one.

+1 on the ebay suggestion, I think I almost bought one from him last time I was going to tackle this but it had been so long I have forgotten long since.
