I think it's just a reference to stock tunes. I dunno.

they are based off just stock to simple bolt on like exhaust and intakes. customs would be like intake, and intake manifold, rockers, exhaust headers, heads, cam and so on. just the base tunes will be better then what you have. plus torque management is gone with the sct. IMHO it is worth it. 265 is a great price plus you have a code reader and clearer.

Thanks 93grandzj. I do think that 265 is a great price because if I can read codes I can just plug the values in online and find out what the trouble is without need for a expensive OBD2 tool on the side. Just curious if you know, I read somewhere that some SCT tuners stored the VIN inside them so you can't use them on another vehicle. Is this true?
