And I have a dumb question. Why are you getting the control arm from summit? Rock auto is cheaper for the same Dorman part, plus you can use the discount code from the thread here on DF. ???

And i have to add that you have now got me wanting alot of parts because that site is cheap....for a clutch kit for my car, control arm, fuel tank straps, and a serp belt for the truck is $173 delivered to my house....i almost spent $150 for my clutch alone somewhere else...

Tinkered with her a little today. Cleaned the iac even though she was running great. Made the idle a bit better..

Aldo i finally adjusted my gear box...i could move the wheel from about 10-2 o clock with out the wheels moving. Going 1/4 turn at a time i hit her sweet spot between 3/4-1 full turn. When has basically no play anymore and does 1000x better going down the road. Feels much much safer now.

Very excited about that

Rock auto does have great prics but their shipping can be a little on the high side sometimes. I always check for the same part(s) I am needing on ebay as well. A few times I have been able to get the same part from ebay with free shipping for the same price rock auto had but charged for shipping.

I was just messin around with the truck today and i came up with a good idea. I wont be running my subs in it anymore so ive decided that where the shelves are in the back im going to make a tool rack
Im going to make it so i can hang the most common wrenches and sockets i use for the truck. I have the idea in my head, but its hard to explain. I will be posting some pics as i go...

Well i got good news and bad news.....bad news is they are laying off hundreds of people at my job....i have 318 people to get called back before me and they are laying off by the week.

So the good news. I found a new job. Im doing the exact same thing as i did at BIW and theres no layoffs. I work outta a company thats only 15 miles away and i do ventalation service around the state...company vehicle as well. They are paying for me to go to school to get more certafacations...they said my pay is going to between $17-19/hr with a $2 raise after 90 days. All benefits and 401k. I start next monday. They said ill be working 40+ hours a week.

The truck ia almost done and this makes things better....ill be able to upgrade her...
