Default 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD Clunk/Rattle when driving over manhole cover/road cracks

I have a clunk/rattle when driven over manhole cover or road cracks.
Recently replaced tires, shocks, ball joints, pitman arm, steering gear, sway bar bushings, and sway bar end links. Steering is good and ride is nice. But WHen I hit a bump at any speed it clunks. Steering joints are good. The sound comes from the driver side wheel and i can feel the clunk on the floor board/gas pedal. I also replaced the drivers side brake caliper. My control arm bushings are checked but intact. THis clucnk is driving me crazy chasing it. I was hoping to let my son drive the truck to school, but not until i solve/correct this clunk. Any ideas? Thanks!

I would take a closer look at the control arm bushings.... jack it up, and shake things around, see what happens.

clunk or thump under driver or passenger feet is loose lower shock bolt.
tighten to about 105 foot pounds.

Just torqued the lower shock bolt. IT was tight and not far off from 105 ft lb. Will test drive and see if clunk is gone.

Not to scare you, but just a heads up. I had the same problem. It would clunk/bang/rattle/whatever when going over potholes, speedbumps, etc. And then my tire fell of. Sheared all five studs off the rotor. I figured it to be under tightened lugs.

It's unlikely, but it's possible. Sometimes the simplest things...

I had pretty much the same symptoms and it turned out to be bad ball joints....
