A/C compressor woes (video attached)
A/C compressor runs with the clutch engaged at idle, but when you apply throttle the clutch disengages. When the compressor is running, it does make some noise. I am hoping that i cann replace just the clutch, but im thinkin that the bearing may be going out on compressor. I have attached a video showing what it is doing along with low side pressure readings. What are yalls suggestions?

I had my compressor clutch springs break on my dakota a while ago and was hoping I could just replace the clutch/bearing assembly but I couldn't find a place that was reasonable. I just swapped out the whole compressor and recharged the system. Only cost $85 including the used compressor.

Oil pressure going down when you rev the engine indicates that the pickup is getting plugged up again. or oil level is low.......
If the valley is really grodie.... and is trapping oil up top, that's gonna be a problem. I would yank a valve cover, and see what the drain holes in the heads look like as well. Might be able to see into the valley, with a bright light.... worth a shot.

Get a feeler gauge and check airgap between clutch plates, Should be .01 to .031 in, If out of spec clutch won't stay engaged even if system is properly charged and all other components are in working right. You can check it right on truck.
