truck dies

Default truck dies

well on my way home from work today my cel came on and the truck then dies. It will only run if i press on the gas if i let off it dies. got home and pluged in my scanner and got a po505 code. so i cleaned the iac and still the same thing. put a new iac in and still the same thing. checked all wireing and all looks good. Bad pcm?????????????? any thoughts need a lil help. 97 dodge ram with a 5.9

Have you checked fuel pressure? Sounds like your pump is going out

no i havent. never thought to check it cause when i keep it running it runs fine. just when i let off the gas it dies and always starts back up if i give it a lil throtle.

Did you clean out the port where iac pintle closes against? Reset pcm, pull neg on battery?

Also check and clean the connectors AT the PCM.

Thanks guys for the help but i have already cleaned everything on the throtle body the iac and all concetions at the pcm. any other ideas??????????????
As long as i keep a lil bit of throtle it will run and runs flawlesy as soon as i let off it instatly dies.

Also have your battery and alt tested. Mine would run if i kept it at 1200 rpm but would stall right out if i let it drop any. Turned out to be a dead battery cell and weak altenator.

My battery was dead and I had the exact same thing happen. It don't cost anything to get your battery tested so go it tested. If its old I would just go ahead and replace it
