Default Best way to install trans cooler?

I would like to put a trans cooler on my truck, but whats the best way to install it? can you just cut the hard lines and put the line over those with clamps?

what i ended up doing was swedging the cooler lines and running rubber hose with double clamps lol hasn't leaked since and its been 3 years. lol

that's what i did. use a tubing cutter for clean cuts. throw away the check valve. throw away the factory hoses with the quick connects.

I put mine inline with radiator cooler for added cooling.

Yeah do not bypass radiator unless you have a trans temp gauge to monitor it.

Woops, sorry. You are right dhv, I read too quick. But, a trans temp gauge is just as important. And that's what you want to use if installing one.
