If you used a wire harness connector you need to put the blue wire to the antenna/light of the wire harness connector to power up the speaker amps.

that was it Bill! thanks a ton! BUT, my left door speaker still doesnt work (i remember that not working before, but it would kick on and off sometimes).

i'm debating on what to do. i thought the pins from the wiring harness were messed up, ended up swapping them around, it didnt work (only thing it did was change the fade to the opposite direction, but still no left speaker regardless of direction). i'm thinking i got a messed up speaker. any opinions?

Junk yard might have a speaker. Double check the wiring on the speaker first to make sure that the connection did not come loose.

You have the infinity system, and the front speakers have amps built onto them. If the amps don't get power, the speakers don't work. You need to come up with a way to power the amps when the stereo is turned on.
