zman17, I bought it but decided to go with wall art yup it's installed..
LOL, Just making sure. And did you replace the cat and o2's at the same time or before fixing the plenum?

The cat just before the plenum then o2..But with the #8 misfire still going on because of the bad head I'm going to replace the cat again once the head is fixed..I know the cat is still good but it's slowly taking on damage from that cylinder..I'll probably replace the o2 sensors again too, just in case...sux

It does suck. I assume you have tried seafoam the intake and dumping lots of Techron plus in the tank? I got lucky with my 98 doing that.

Might be time to try Mopar's combustion cleaner, and I do like the idea of adding Techron as well. Q what gas are you running in this truck? Try some Chevron 94 if you can get it, see if that helps.

I did seafoam and I did engine tuner as well. What we use on boats.. eats the carbon right out and foams up to clean the top and valves.

Pat.. I'll prolly pm you this too.. Do you ever notice the off idle shudder, or even maybe the higher speed one seem worse some days?

I notice that.. temps are pretty steady right now; 20% humidity.. high of 80's very pleasant.. yesterday the shudder was not that bad.. alittle more on the hardly noticeable side.. today though.. it was really bad..

Just throwing that out there.

@zman17, merc225hp, Jon...Yeah I did all of it with no positive results..It also doesn't change with ambient temp or with the motor temp..I think once I swap out the cylinder head, fresh cat & o2's, trans fluid/filter change, adjust the bands, maybe the input & output speed sensors, Dr. Tranny shudder fix, new propeller universal joints and a new #8 plug of course I'll only be left with a new TC and trans rebuild, have it tuned too..what else is there? don't say bent axle M

Just an update..I removed the check valve (anti drainback), changed the trans oil-n-filter and adjusted the TV cable..If lets say the 40mph shudder was a 9 or 10, it's now 4..I still have the idle surge in both R and D gears...BTW the magnet had sludge but was very unexpectly good to go! More work soon as well as an update!
