Default Anyone got a CTM to spare?

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500. I hate to ask but I'm really stuck. Does anyone have a central timing module to spare? I get less than $700 a month and just can't afford to get one through the dealership. I know they will have to program it and such for me but I really can't afford their price to get the part and do the labor. Can anyone help?

I think I left one in my other pants over in the Dodge Classifieds Wanted to Buy section.

I like this truck but have had issues with it and I haven't put it on the road yet. Within the next few days we will be putting a new fuel pump in then I really need to tackle the CTM.

i have a standard CTM, (as opposed to a High Line) from my 01. I replaced it while fighting a wiper delay problem because I thought it was bad. there's not anything wrong with it - i'm just stupid for removing a fuse that killed power to the ctm.

why do you think yours is bad?
and what is your part number?
stand by, i'll fish mine out shortly.

I was given the dealership number in reply to another thread I had started. 5620157AC The reason I'm thinking its the CTM is because the seat belts don't come out (both sides) and when they do come out and I buckle up the seat belt light is still on. Now that you mention it I better do some checking with the fuses. I don't have a manual for the truck but I have a Haynes book. I'll have to do some more checking before buying a part that I can't even afford. Below is the first thread.

Also, yooperb ug, in case you did not know, there is a service manual you can download in the FAQ/DIY section. Especially if money is tight, check and double check before throwing parts at that thing! There is a connector under the driver side that comes up through the carpet from the driver door trim. make sure it is connected. Then the box under the jump seat.

Post up what you find. And zman makes frequent JY trips. PM him if you still think that is the problem. He may have one or may be able to put it on his pick list for you. I don't care waht Stewie says, he is a good egg!
