Default 1995 Ram 1500 wont start hot

I have a 1995 Ram that will start just fine when its cold but after it has been running for about 30 minutes, then ill shut it off and it will not start back up until it has cooled off for about an hour or longer. I checked and its getting fuel. there was no power going to the coil so i thought it was a bad ignition module but that has not fixed it.... the truck will crank the whole time .....any ideas will help.

I have changed out the ecu module.

Get a Haynes manual and a cheap multimeter. You can test all the sensors. I'd check the ECT first. Engine coolant temp sensor.

The sensor in the distributor has nothing to do with spark.... it is for injector timing, and that's it.

You will only get power to the coil for about 3 seconds, unless the engine is actually turning. (doesn't matter if you are just cranking, or the engine is running...)

I am thinkin' crank sensor.

Me too, but how else are we going to get people to at least get a manual and a basic test tool.
