Just bought a 97 dodge ram 5 speed and I had to drive it 8 hours home... Truck was running great intill the clutch started slipping. so put a new clutch kit in it including flywheel and noticed the clutch we pulled out looked fine?!? So test drive the truck and it starts slipping again with Brand new clutch!!! Also replaced the slave! What's going on! Help

Welcome to DF

Do you notice if you are getting engine or gear on the clutch disc? I will move your post to the 2nd Gen Ram section.

As soon as the truck gets a load on it such as a hill or if I stomp on it starts to whine and I lose speed and it bogs the engine down and I can rev the engine but it just wines louder. So the clutch is slipping what els could cause this I'm lost

Whining doesn't mean slipping. Do the RPMs actually rise without speed rising? I've only driven one vehicle with a slipping clutch and it didn't make any noise when it did it.

when I say whinin I mean it sounds like the clutch is spinnin and yes I can rev the motor while losing speed I'm going to replace the master today and if that's not the fix? I hit a huge wall On what it could be.... It pulls away in first or reverese but it has a chatter like its jumpin so I guess what els can I look at keepin it from engaging all the way?
