Default ifs swap?

Is it possible? All the threads i found were going from ifs to solid. What would it take to make my 2000 1500 ifs?

You can swap your solid axle for a log with wooden wheels if you want...
If you can go from IFS to solid axle, who's to say you couldn't go right back?
It just takes some time, money, fabbing, etc. to make it work.

Are you trying to build a prerunner or something of that sort?

Basically, im going to build a long travel rear suspension, just having trouble locating the long travel coil overs so i can ditch the leaf springs.

sounds like you need one of those ram runners or a new power wagon.

just leave it alone. if you can't afford a new truck i doubt you could afford a IFS swap. they are probably about the same in cost. just keep it as is.

Called my buddy that works over at a local shop called SuspensionWorx just out of curiosity. He said it could be done, long travel and all. 6 grand going cheap almost 10 grand done right. I think I would steer away from that. He said if you are good at fab work it can be done cheaper but those prices are his shop prices. His next question is why would you want to, live axle is so much more versatile. Personally, i wouldn't want to swap.
