Throttle Position Sensor question
#12
I already replaced plugs, wires, cap and button, and checked all vac lines. Could it be a sensor on the tranny? When it skips, it acts almost like a clogged injector, but it doesn't skip or miss or hesitate at any other time. Idles fine, holds steady at mid rpm and high... smooth as a sewing machine! Just on takeoff. I don't have a tach, but I would swear it's just between certain RPM with strain on engine.

bad tps
The tps can cause all kinds of issues from idle to communication with the tranny causing erratic gear shifts always start with cleaning throttle body if dirty unmetered air can cause codes from o2 sensor to bad tps code once that's done if you got a bad tps code still replace it test with volmeter after replaced it should be between .5 and 1.5 the closer u get it to 1.0 the better to do this leave torx bolts just lose enough that u can move throttle sensor clockwise for up and counter to decrease voltage i may have that backwards but you get the point when u get it as close to 1.0 as u can tighten it down u should notice a significant increase in efficiency and power
