5 quarts or a little more. Some use 6, but I'd recommend 5 to 5.5.

I used to use Mobil1 oil, until I learned they no longer tested it on against the Chrysler MS-6395 standard. I now use Pennzoil, as that is one of the few oils that still test on the Chrysler standard (and is supposedly now used for oil changes at Chrysler dealerships). I prefer synthetic, and use Pennzoil Ultra, but Penzoil Platinum would be a good synthetic as well (one small step down from Ultra), and regularly goes on sale at auto parts stores.

That being said, asking what oil is the best is like asking what tires are the best, or what NFL football team is the best, or what brand of pop is the best. There will be a million different answers, and most will not be wrong.

And for future reference:

it is 5 quarts. i always use rotella t oil, and if you do a lot of heavy towing or hard accelerating be sure to get the oil filter for the v10 engine of the same year. Dodge recommends that in their manual, and that is what i do. It allows better oil flow and can hold more dirt etc.

also use seafoam. cleans the engine and improves compression.

10W30, that's it. NAPA, "get the good stuff". Actually, I have never used NAPA's engine oil, but their parts are so much better than most others.

i think mine takes six but i run a larger filter. i think a normal engine and filter hold about 5-5.5 quarts just like Jason said.
