Default Headlight bulb replacement

Hi guys,
Newbie here although I've had my '97 Ram since new, I finally need to replace a headlight bulb. It looks like I just need to go into the back in the engine well?
Is that right? I hope it's just a matter of getting in there and turning it just like the fog lights down below? I don't really want to yank the lens out if I don't have to. Thanks

Very easy. Twist the ring off and pull out, replace bulb, insert gray plug and twist again to seat on back of HL unit.

On my '96 I always have a problem getting the drivers side light bulb in; it seems that it was made too long. Any ideas here? I always end up spending a few hours of pushing until it finally fits.

Driver side is a little tighter because of battery tray, but I'd say 1 minute to replace , not a few hours.

Well, truth be told, the first time we ran into this it did take a couple hours to figure it out. When I did it later, it probably took about 15 minutes, although it seemed like hours!

Please only post a thread at one location of the forum. Posting it in multiple sections is against the forum rules, and can be considered SPAM by accident, especially if done repeatedly. I deleted your thread in the New Members section and the Dodge Ram section, since it was basically identical to this one, and this is the area where it truly belongs.
