Default seatbelts

I have a '98 2500 4x4 5.9ltr.
The seat belts are stuck on both seats and wont release. Fuse is good. Googled it and a suggestion was to unhook the battery and reset it. Did that and the seatbelts worked for two days and then were stuck again. Btw the seatbelt light is also on in the inst. cluster. The truck hasnt been wrecked. Any ideas on why this is happening? Thanks

If you have the split bench seat, there is a black box under it that controls the solenoids that lock the belts. Check the connections. Disconnect it & make sure the correct wires have voltage when the key is on. Search by my name - I had an older thread about adding that seat to my base truck that had no connections for it, it goes over which wires are supposed to be hot when the key is on.

Default Black box under seat

I had the same problem with the seatbelts on a 99 1500. The box under the seat was toast so I replaced it. All the belts work fine now. (About $200 and 15 mins to fix)
