Get either two medium batteries or else get a NAPA 85 battery with BIG cca... Should work great!

could you even fit 2 batteries under the hood on those 2nd gen trucks? i know on the 1st gen trucks you just pound the metal tabs down and you have no problem putting 2 batteries side by side. in my opinion 1 good battery would be better than 2 unless you have a winch were 2 good batteries would be required.

Thanks guys, to be honest i contemplated the trans for a long time before pulling the trigger...

And by "biggest" I meant biggest cca... I'm not running an intake heater/winch/etc so it will only be used for starting and headlights ha ha.

I'll get a couple hours to work on it today so ill have an update later

There was definitely two batteries in the Cummins powered trucks, but I think they were one on each side of the engine bay.

Why not?
All the mounting holes and stuff is already there.
Just a matter of getting another tray, hardware, wiring harness and digging in.
