Moo do you have EGT and boost gauges hooked up? Before you start turning screws it's recommended that you do both. I don't know what a 4bt head gasket is good for boost wise, but you wanna be able to keep an eye on things for that reason and because you don't wanna run hot...
Just remembered you are familiar with the diesel side of things, since you already have another, I wasn't trying to condescend in the slightest.

There are several different h1c's...
Wh1c, big h1c, small h1c, and the baby h1c
I have the baby- which either have a 46 or 50mm compressor wheels. Right now I'm running a big (16-18?)ex housing but will be switching to a 12cm ex housing for the quicker spooling.
I have been taking 6bt gains and multiplying by 2/3 in my power goals...

When I was looking for a 12cm ex housing I found another freshly rebuilt baby h1c with the housing already on it for cheap ($150)... I have been pretty sick and dont feel like freezing my *** off on the garage floor swapping them lol. Ill toss on some pics cuz thats what I do....
And I guess I will have to see if I want more after I spin the pin. As of right now I like the idea of "free" upgrades![Smile](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)

SO:
I was too anxious to burn a whole tank to see what ballpark mpgs were going to look like lol. so its a little inaccurate but I will stay disciplined for the next fill haha
FIRST FILL: 73 miles/3.2gal= 22.8 mpg. It was a city/interstate mix with about 20-30min total idle time, but still pretty happy
Efficiency items on the list:
-Add I/C
-Bump timing 1/8"
-Get a new air filter (reused the old one)
-better thermostat, 4bt and 47rh both running too cold
-16cm-->12cm ex housing on turbo for spool
Looking to pull 25-28 mpg @ 60mph in the end.

Closing in on 4,000 miles on the swap. Minor updates for anyone that does the swap
Turns out the timing has been bumped the entire time lol. So I won't be getting much better efficiency from here on. I have the new turbo and '97 intercooler ready, I am just gathering up my plumbing a couple pieces at a time. I have a 366 spring in the mail too, so when it gets here I will hopefully be able to put it in along with the intake goodies.
Picking up a new tstat and bhaf tomorrow from napa... Still havent installed a fan, we'll see when the summer temps come around if Ill even install it at all.
I traded my Ford 1g alternator for a 3g (upgrade in amperage and reliability)
-grabbed one from a junkyard for cheap, took it apart and cleaned it up and added new brushes for $8... It was a direct drop in for the bracket. I will be flipping it upside down and making room for my AC compressor. I will likely be mounting my AC like this
