Best engine Dressup
Hey guys!
so pretty mush ive done all i wanted to the outside of my truck(money wise) and now im ready to move into the engine bay. Pretty much what im wondering is waht can u buy to make the inside of my engine bay look pretty. Like chrome wise, and shiny. i want to pop open the hood and everything look shiny. i was thinking about panting the plasitc box covering the fuses with chrome(rattle can of course) and just anything elese that can easily ocmeoff and be shot with spray paint that wont melt. But im also wondering like hoses and stuff like that to make the inside look like more muscle car. i like chrome under the hood, but outside my truck, everything chrome is pasti dipped black.
Thanks in advance guys!

When it comes to engine bays, you have to go all or nothing. Painting a few things chrome isn't going to make an engine bay pop...it's going to look like poop.
In order to do it right, pull the engine. Clean and strip the entire engine bay. Paint all under hood accessories and surfaces. Loom all lines and wires. Polish all metal. Clean and paint engine top to bottom. The polish and chrome must be uniform...meaning, a theme. I know it sounds like a lot of work, because it is...and that's why you don't see a lot of 'pop' under peoples hoods.
This isn't one of my Dodges but here is a pic of my Corvette engine, and I can tell you it took me years or labor and polishing and cleaning, and painting and replacing parts to achieve this look...and it's not even close to done.

GipperKid,
Feel free to email me or look me up on Digitalcorvettes.com as D_B and I'll go through all the details you're looking for. I wasn't meaning to hijack the thread.
DBrown - In all seriousness, I urge you not to take the cheap way out. Do it right or don't do it. Half-assing engine bay dress up will result in negative results.
Yeah half assed engine bays just make it look mexican...hope i dont offend any that may be on here, but oh well.
