Default Tools to replace front hub on '98 Ram

I'm traveling from North Carolina to Houston to replace the front hub on my daughter's '98 Ram 4x4. She has no tools so I will have to pack mine. Can someone list the tools I will need, mostly socket sizes and any advice on pry bars, etc. I have to fly there anyway for a doctor's appointment, so it will probably be carry-on or checked luggage. Thanks in advance. Rich

Thanks for the added info, I was just getting ready to ask about the calipers. Looks like I will have to upgrade to a 3/4" breaker bar.

NC to Houston. that's what i call "road service".

its important to know if its a 1500 with Dana 44 or 2500 with Dana 60,
both for parts, tools, etc.

see this for a really good DIY with pics.

3/4 breaker bar is not enough! i think the torque on the 1500 axle nut is 180#. i used a 3/4 drive impact to remove mine. its a beast. not to scare you off, but after removing the axle nut, then the 12 points, the unit bearings may or may not come out of the knuckle cavity. it might take some pressing with the power steering to remove.

take all of this...
jack, jack stands, air compressor/impact or electric impact. 1-11/16 socket. 12 point 14mm sockets and wrench. 1/2 ratchet and breaker. brake tools - caliper 3/8 or 10mm? big sockets for caliper brackets 17-19mm.

also you probably already know, the bearings are expensive, get the Timken's for about $175 ea for 1500, $200+ for 2500.

edit - since you have to remove the brakes, if they're not really good, you might as well put on new pads, turn rotors at o'reillys.

Add 4' piece of steel pipe, anti seize, penetrating oil of some type, gloves, new split pin.

I had a 3/4 in breaker bar and two feet of pipe i got from home depot for like 7 bucks...
Put it on so the breaker bar was at about 9 o clock...stood on it and did a little hop on it and they cracked right free...did that to both sides and they came right off
