broke pcv valve
so girlfriend is in process of replacing pcv valve, got the hose off and then grabbed the valve with a pair of pliers and pulled. thats how everything i read said to do it and so she did. well it broke off and but the piece thats broken is still there and she did get it off luckily. had it fallin through, the valve cover would have to come off right? anyways hopefully this fixes the wild vents now. (check valve helped but didnt fix)

so it did in fact fix the wild vents, shes so happy that she did it all herself. now shes saying she wants to fix a ticking noise, it sounds like a blinker is on.. it starts when the key is turned halfway and stops when it wants to and comes back when it wants to while driving.. any ideas???
yes she got the piece out and she already replaced the check valve, didnt fix it

Helped a buddy of mine with his wild vents issue. We replaced the check valve. It didn't work either because one of the lines were cracked. Check the lines for any cracks and just cover them up with electrical tap or gorilla tape. That's what we did and he says the vents aren't wild anymore.

From the looks of the old PCV valve I'd be willing to bet the hose to the intake and the vacuum tube it connects to are just about clogged up with carbon and crud. Tell her to pull the hose off the intake and check for build up because the buildup will cause a big decrease in vacuum signal.
If the rubber hose to the intake is clogged or partially clogged I suggest she buy a new PCV hose from the parts store and if the vac tube on the intake is clogged use a 5/16" metal bit and turn it in and out using a pair of pliers until the bit goes all the way thru. Hopefully she has the tools to do this because I know she has the ability after taking care of the PCV valve problem.
