Default tps problems i think

my truck has been running rough and shifting hard I thought the throttle position sensor was bad so I put a new I put a new 1 in and the truck ra and one in and the truck ran great and the truck got its ***** back. It was shifting at higher rpms. but my check engine light came on I brought it back to the car parts store and the code was for the TPS. I thought I may have got a faulty 1 so I returned it but they didn't have any more left so I went to the part store across the street and got 1 and now my truck is back to running rough. Any ideas?

Did you reset the PCM (disconnect the battery) when you changed the TPS?

Try disconnecting your battery for five minutes first.... See if that doesn't improve it's attitude at all.

Running rough? I doubt the TPS is the problem. Try cleaning the IAC, https://dodgeforum.com/forum/dodge-r...n-the-iac.html

AND DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE BEFORE CLEANING OR REPLACING ANY SENSORS.
