So I have a 98 1500 2wd with a noisy rear end, I found a killer deal on a rear end with drive shaft but its not the same as the one I have. I was just wondering what is different because I cant seem to find it anywhere and if it will work. I have pics of mine and of the one Im looking to buy
HERE IS MINE

THE ONE I AM GOING TO SWAP OUT WITH (IF IT WORKS)

So if I get the drive shaft that comes with this rear end, will it mate up to my 46re? The rear and driveshaft are coming out of a 2000 1500 2wd also. Just want to make sure it all will work out. Thanks guys.

your 98 is a U-bolt type pinion flange, and your drive shaft bolts directly to it.
the other one is an 00-01 with the round pinion flange, which has the extra little u-joint plate that bolts to it.
you either need the drive shaft from the 00-01 with the extra plate,
or
you need to move your 98 pinion flange to the 00-01 rear end.
to do this, you need either an impact wrench or very long pull bar to get about 200 pounds of torque. replace pinion seal while you're doing it. there's a procedure to follow. it doesn't change the gear setup or lash, but it is important to get the correct torque and load on the pinion bearing.
