Default Swapping rear end, Drive shaft issues

So I have a 98 1500 2wd with a noisy rear end, I found a killer deal on a rear end with drive shaft but its not the same as the one I have. I was just wondering what is different because I cant seem to find it anywhere and if it will work. I have pics of mine and of the one Im looking to buy

HERE IS MINE

THE ONE I AM GOING TO SWAP OUT WITH (IF IT WORKS)

So if I get the drive shaft that comes with this rear end, will it mate up to my 46re? The rear and driveshaft are coming out of a 2000 1500 2wd also. Just want to make sure it all will work out. Thanks guys.

Im not sure but i think you can take your yolk and bolt it to that...is there a place for a center nut on the new one? If so just swap the whole thing over

Do you think that the driveshaft length will be the same? any reason why it might not? if your talking about un bolting the yoke at the flange and not the transmission wont that mess up my backlash on my rear gears?

your 98 is a U-bolt type pinion flange, and your drive shaft bolts directly to it.

the other one is an 00-01 with the round pinion flange, which has the extra little u-joint plate that bolts to it.

you either need the drive shaft from the 00-01 with the extra plate,
or
you need to move your 98 pinion flange to the 00-01 rear end.
to do this, you need either an impact wrench or very long pull bar to get about 200 pounds of torque. replace pinion seal while you're doing it. there's a procedure to follow. it doesn't change the gear setup or lash, but it is important to get the correct torque and load on the pinion bearing.

Could I possibly swap the slip yoke in the transmission that I have on my drive shaft onto the new drive shaft?

i think so. (using the 00-01 drive shaft).
that would be the easiest.

I guess my only concern is the length of the driveshaft and/or if it will fit into my transmission (maybe his had a 47re of whatever).

What motor did the donor truck have? If it was a half ton truck, with the same cab config, and box length as yours, it will bolt right in.

I have the 2 door version, what if he has the 4 door version? Will that make a length difference?
