Default steam from a/c vents

Just like the title says. My truck started blowing steam out of the a/c vents this morning. What could be causing this?

Your heater core is leaking and needs to be replaced.

Is it steam or condensation? Does it smell like antifreeze? If it smells, you have a coolant leak at the core, control valve, or hose connections. If it does not smell like antifreeze, it is condensation that has not drained from the core box. Look on the firewall, low on the passenger's side for the drain. Should be a little rubber nipple. Pinch it to see if water comes out.

It drups from the tube but takes it close to an hour to stop dripping. It does not smell like antithesis and comes out the vents like a fog.

+1 on what VW said, mine was doing the exact same thing when my heater core went.

I bet when you have your heater on your windows fog up too right?

Pain in the *** to DIY if you dont know what your doing, but there is a walkthrough in the DIY section.

Mechanic will charge you about $500 to do the job.

I can do it but I dont want to. A/c has to be running for about 30 min before it starts to fog. Ill wait till it quits entirely.

Wow, I thought you were (oh never mind). If you want help, me and my local NH friends here on DF can have it done in about 5 hours. Of course you are a little far away.
