shifting problems

Default shifting problems

2001 ram 2 wheel drive auto trans 5.9 will not shift to second gear going up steep hill,I changed the shift solenoid,speed sensor,governor pressure sensor and governor pressure solenoid,new filter also,still have the same problem truck runs up to 3 thousand rpms or more an doesn't shift to a higher gear,please help Rick thanks

Check the TV cable, and make sure it isn't sticking.

Does speedometer work?

+1 on checking TV cable.

How is the fluid level (and please tell us you used ATF+4 and checked it in neutral!)

Might as well check it in case, but I don't think the TV cable as anything to do with 2nd to 3rd up shift. I'd say rebuild time.

Damaged/Burned.
3. Repair/replace.
